How it All Started….
In 1849, a young, orphaned William Leak was sent to begin a new life with his uncle in Upper Canada. He founded a retail building supply centre on Leak’s Wharf in Toronto.
William incorporated Leak and Company in 1911 as a wholesale lumber business. He worked with his two sons, Art, and Harold, to establish a family atmosphere based on quality products and impeccable service.
A generation later, in the early 1950s, Art and Harold passed the business on to their sons, who continued developing close relationships with Canadian mills to provide the best quality and value.
Today, Bill Leak, and Paul Lawson, maintain the high standards and personalized customer service established so many years ago, going above and beyond to uphold the family name!
